I am an anthropologist with a passion for understanding how others create a sense of belonging. I have dedicated the past ten years immersing myself in different languages, cultures,  and service-learning work with specific field interests in youth development, gender, sexual reproductive health, social justice, and global civic engagement.  With VIA, I am able to contribute and help support their mission on empowering youth and promote peace work.

I believe the core principles to reach peacuful coexistience are trying to listen and understand each other. My work at VIA therefore focuses on researching the impact intercultural group work can have on the wellbeing of all inidvdiuals involved.

I believe everyone has the potential to volunteer and contribute to collaboration for peace. Through my volunteering in the VIA board, PR and finances, I promote VIA’s core values and support the volunteering team.

I share common values with the organisation and the VIA / SCI concept that through volunteering projects we contribute to better cooperation between people which in turn contributes to peace between nations.

Martin

I believe in the power of solidarity and the importance of cooperation through which human rights such as equality and peace can be achieved.

I have always been eager to connect with people who share the same world vision and ambitions, therefore I am dedicated to developing a strategy that helps to share our values and raise awareness.

Being a volunteer at VIA has given me new opportunities to do workshops abroad, and get in touch with like minded people. In 2023 I did a workshop in Bulgaria, where I learned about social emotional learning and conflict resolution. I had an amazing experience and learned a lot of new skills for working with youth. I hope to do many more in the future!
