As we are an NGO, VIA is run by volunteers and therefore we can keep the costs low for participants.
However, VIA has yearly costs that for organising projects and activities, internet costs for placing volunteers in work-camps, accommodation costs for long-term volunteers, etc.
For all of these activities, money is necessary. Money that we kindly receive as a support to keep growing and impacting as we do.
VIA doesn’t receive any subsidy from the Dutch government and it is dependent on donations. This is a deliberate choice: we try to stay independent from structural impacts of the government.

VIA is recognized by the Dutch tax authorities as “ANBI” (Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling). ANBI is the non-profit tax designation in the Netherlands. Because of this special status, donators may deduct the value of their one time or periodic gift to an ANBI from their income tax.
