How To Support Us

VIA is run by volunteers and therefore can keep the costs low for the participants. Nevertheless VIA has yearly costs for organising projects and activities, internet costs for placing volunteers in workcamps, accommodation costs for long-term volunteers, etc.

For all of these activities money is necessary. VIA doesn’t receive any subsidy from the Dutch government and it is dependent on donations. This is a deliberate choice: we try to stay independent from structural impacts of the government.

In the name of Stichting VIA

VIA is recognized by the Dutch tax authorities as “ANBI”. ANBI is the non-profit tax designation in the Netherlands, ANBI stands for “Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling”. Because of this special status donateurs may deduct the value of their one time or periodic gift to an ANBI from their income tax.
